Physical DescriptionTransparent dark blue non-lead glass; blown, enameled; turned, gilt metal mounts. Ovoid body, with cylindrical neck; trailed thread rings below the rim and at the top of the body, the upper ring enameled dark red, the lower alternating dark red and green; pair of bands of white dots above the upper ring; the neck with enameled white scales with blue, yellow, red and green dots; the sides of the body with formal floral and foliage scroll band, flanked by decorative borders; applied strap handle; gilt pewter hinge and domed cover with finial composed of a ball with pointed spur above; stamped crowned rose inside; flared, drawn foot; concave, conical base with rough pontil mark; circular paper label with star-cut edge, with illegible inscription.Provenance
