Physical DescriptionInscribed Beaker. Pale green glass; mold blown, three-part mold; rim reworked. Cylindrical with straight vertical sides and short everted rim; flat base with raised concentric ring underneath. The sides are decorated in relief. The decoration consists of two panels of equal size separated by palm fronds. Below the panels, three horizontal lines and below these and the palm fronds a continuous band of herringbone ornament. Above each panel, a horizontal palm frond and above this one horizontal line. The inscription, in Greek, is "KATAXAIPE KAI EYFPAINOY" [Rejoice and be merry].
