Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, cut and engraved. Spherical bowl incurving at top and resting in base of heavy swirled ribs (trisected and with crested ends); tall cut octagonal stem with relief-diamond knop below base of bowl; flaring octafoil foot with graduated flutes on underside; ends of flutes forming scalloped edge of lobes; engraved and polished rope circlet on bowl above base and below engraved crest and motto "SANS CRAINTE" (Without Fear or Fearless).Provenance
