Physical DescriptionAlmost colorless glass, with light green fracture; virtually bubble-free; blown, wheel-cut, and polished. Dish: fragment from floor. Shallow facet-cut decoration on outside, intended to be viewed from interior: at top of fragment, broad horizontal groove with unidentified elements above it; below groove, part of scene with male saint, standing, his head tilted upward and shown in profile facing right. His head is surrounded by halo; he has full head of hair, indicated by short, parallel cuts, and is beardless; he wears tunic, and pallium with decorated borders; his torso is shown frontally; his left arm is bent, with forearm exposed and hand grasping staff which extends upward across body. On either side of halo, part of inscription: |T RV (left arm of V, only, survives).Provenance
