Physical DescriptionPaperweight with Sulphide of St. Adelaide. Colorless, blue and white non-lead (?) glasses; enclosing polychrome millefiori canes; fused murrine; encased sulphide; furnace-worked; cut. Domed, circular shape; top with flat, cut circular facet; sides with five concave circular facets; enclosing sulphide female portrait inscribed in blue: "Ste Adelaide", encircled by a ring of millefiori canes: six sets of white-and-red canes alternating with "rose" canes; on white-lined, blue ground; polished, concave base.
