Physical DescriptionCanes of translucent amethyst, translucent deep blue glass, opaque yellow, opaque red and opaque white glass, pitted, chipped and face repolished recently; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Fragment preserves an elaborate scale design of amethyst or black scales alternating with white, the black scales have white center and are cased with yellow and amethyst respectively, the white scales have a black center and are cased with white and yellow respectively, the area is bordered with a black and yellow line from which red-tipped blue feathers rest at an angle and are divided by yellow strips.
