Physical DescriptionCanes of turquoise, opaque red, opaque yellow and translucent blue-green on a backing of colorless greenish glass, dull, pitted, light brown weathering product adhering to surface; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. (a) Left wing of a scarab composed of five horizontal bands of yellow with alternating scale patterns in each band of blue, red, blue, turquoise repeated at least three times, top is finished at the outer edge with a red strip which rests along side a turquoise strip as far as preserved, backing material is fused to this design and is heavily pitted, sides are tapered or beveled and appear to be original. (b) Similar motif, possibly from the same emblem but preserving an alternating red, turquoise, red strip above the wing and an opaque yellow streamer in backing material.
