Physical DescriptionTumbler with Fitted Case. Colorless lead glass; free-blown, cut and engraved. Straight- sided cylindrical form, 1.4 cm thick in base; cut and engraved bands of decoration -- from bottom to top, broad rectangular flutes, band of fine cut diamonds, low broad arches supporting an engraved band: on the obverse, narrow strip of ground with scattered tiny flowers and leaves below the crest of the Dauphine of France within a garland of delicate flowers and leaves; vertical spray-like garlands on the sides; on the reverse, Diana in her chariot drawn by two stags; at top, narrow engraved rope below acorn and oak-leaf circlet; star cut base. Cylindrical red leather case with tooled medallion on top.
