Physical DescriptionBowl. Transparent slightly bluish green; small bubbles. Blown in mold with two vertical sections. Bowl shaped like broad, inverted bell. Rim in form of narrow "collar," with thickened lip made by folding, and vertical side, which is rounded at bottom; wall has attenuated S-shaped profile, curving sharply inward at top, then tapering and curving inward at bottom; base shallow, with vertical side that curves in at bottom, hollow interior, and slightly concave underside; pontil mark roughly circular (D. about 2 cm). Wall and base are decorated in relief with two continuous registers of linear ornament embellished with small circular depressions (D. 0.2 cm). On wall: upper register (H. about 3 cm) is filled with indistinct curvilinear motifs, which are at least partly vegetal; lower register (H. about 1.5 cm) has continuous vegetal scroll between continuous borders, each consisting of single recessed line filled with circular depressions. On base, at bottom: one continuous band of circular depressions. Seam at junction of mold sections is visible on lower wall and, prominently, on underside of base.
