Physical DescriptionTransparent brown glass with grey streamer at rim, with some bubbles; mold-blown, three-part mold; rim reworked, handle applied. Hexagonal body with vertical sides; rim outsplayed, folded upward and inward and pinched into trefoil mouth; cylindrical neck retaining horizontal mold mark; sloping shoulder with three vertical mold marks, slightly overhanging; base retains mold mark or flow line around edge, central area concave, pontil scar ground flat; handle applied to shoulder and neck immediately below rim, folded and tooled to form small thumb rest at rim. Mold-blown decoration on body on all six sides; each side has rectangular panel outlined with small circular depressions, clockwise, from below handle: (1) two concentric lozenges with depression at center and single depression in each corner of rectangle; (2) cross fourchee standing on tree trunk flanked by stylized leaves; (3) two concentric lozenges with four depressions at center and single depression in each corner of rectangle; (4) cross fourchee with bulbous base surrounded by two circles shown in perspective; (5) as (3); (6) cross fourchee on stepped base.Provenance
