Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, zwischengoldglas technique. Tapered, straight-sided bowl with rounded base; panel-cut; double-walled, enclosing silver-foil decoration, painted with transparent colors, of two dueling horsemen, one firing a pistol, other brandishing a curved sword, on reverse a trophy of arms surrounded by an elaborate scrollwork frame; band of scrolled leaves in gold below; foliate gold medallion with cross-hatched center in the bottom; stem composed of merese above faceted flattened ball knop, two mereses, panel-cut inverted baluster, and capstan; circular foot with ring of cut ovals and radial lines on the underside.
