Physical DescriptionGreen glass; mold-blown; plain lip, pontil mark. Obverse: Washington, classical bust with queue tied with three ribbons, profile facing left, narrow band of toga showing. Reverse: Taylor profile bust in uniform, four buttons on coat, facing left. Inscription: above Washington "THE FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY"; reverse above Taylor "GEN TAYLOR NEVER SURRENDERS". No period after "GEN" and letters of inscription on each side slightly smaller (more finely cut). Edges: smooth.Provenance
