Obverse: Washington, classical profile bust with queue tied with three ribbons, profile facing left, narrow band of toga showing. Reverse: Taylor profile bust in uniform, five buttons on coat, facing left. Inscription: above Washington "THE FATHER OF HIS COUNTRY"; reverse above Taylor "GEN. TAYLOR NEVER SURRENDERS" above panel "DYOTTVILLE GLASS WORKS PHILAD.A". Edges: smooth.
