Physical DescriptionOpaque white non-lead glass; blown and enameled. Flattened, pear-shape; tubular neck; sides flared to rounded body; four applied loop handles on sides; neck enameled with scrolled leaves above four rings of red-brown dots; flattened sides enameled with scenes in polychrome; obverse, with standing nude female beckoning a seated, armored male figure leaning on a sword, in a landscape setting ("the Judgement of Paris"), in an elaborate frame; reverse with a winged putto, fishing from a bridge, in front of an Italianate building, with a woman standing at a window, hills in the background, surrounded by an elaborate frame; sides enameled with scrolled blue leaves; trumpet-shape foot with folded rim, enameled with repeated overlapping blue acanthus leaves; rough pontil mark on underside of foot; painted red "NB" on underside of foot.
