Physical DescriptionColorless (faint greenish tint) non-lead glass; blown, enameled, gilt. Tall, slender, cylindrical, straight-sided form; gilt band below the rim, flanked by red lines and rows of blue and white dots; depiction of St. Christopher (wearing a dark blue tunic) carrying the Christ Child (nude, holding an Orb of State) on his shoulder, crossing a river, holding onto a tree; on the reverse, a formal floral spray with lily-of-the-valley; green, blue, and yellow lines below; applied trumpet foot with flared, folded rim; band of white enamel dots at the junction of the bowl and foot; concave bottom, with rough pontil mark.Provenance
