Physical DescriptionBeaker. Colorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved, enameled, stained. Cylindrical shape; engraved border consisting of a band of polished ovals and a wavy band against a matte band, enameled translucent lavender; sides decorated with six yellow-stained ovals, each containing an enameled black silhouette of a person: husband, wife, and four children, linked by trailing ivy; children's portraits are minutely numbered "1," "2," "3," and "4"; signed "Mohn pinx 18" alongside the husband's portrait oval; on the reverse, an oak wreath enclosing an inscription "Ihr Leben bluhe stets wie diese nie welkende" around a rose "und" forget-me-not flowers; inside of the bottom of the glass stained yellow; polished flat bottom.
