Physical DescriptionGoblet. Colorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, enameled, stained. Ovoid bowl; cut tapered, yellow-stained rim; one side with two oval yellow-stained panels, one with a black silhouette of a woman facing right, the other with a black silhouette of a man facing left; signed "S. Mohn, fec." at lower right; oak leaf garland above the two portraits; inscribed "Aus Dankbarkeit und Liebe" above, and "Dresden d. 25 - December 1809." below; on the reverse a wreath of flowers in transparent enamel, surrounding the inscription "Froh geniese noch lange/und oft aus diesen Glas." and "FCS"; panel cut waisted stem, with alternate panels stained yellow or pink; cut square stepped foot.
