Physical DescriptionBowl, "Crystal Bowl". Transparent bright yellow glass, almost bubble-free; mold-spun, cut, ground and polished. Dish or tray: square, with concave upper surface and raised corners. Rim slightly beveled; vertical sides, with lower part of corners cut in triangular facets; flat, octagonal base. Wheel-cut decoration on base and triangular facets; flat, octagonal base. Wheel-cut decoration on base and triangular facets; on base, gridiron arrangement of twenty-two straight, parallel cuts intersected at right angles by twenty-one straight, parallel cuts; on each facet, five straight, parallel cuts perpendicular to base. Engraved or acid-stamped signature near bottom of one facet: single Japanese character.
