Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, zwischengold technique. Tapered, straight-sided bowl with rounded base; panel-cut; double walled, enclosing silver foil scene of stag hunt with horsemen and men on foot with dogs attacking a stag on one side, while hunters attack fallen doe on the opposite side; silver foil acanthus leaf borders at top and bottom, and scroll and floral border below the scene, with a foliate medallion with checkered center in base; attached to the stem with a silver metal collar; stem composed of faceted flattened knop (probably) above faceted inverted baluster and capstan; circular foot with ring of cut ovals and radial lines on the underside. (b) Domed, circular shape with inset, tapered brim; panel-faceted sides, inset domed medallion enclosing silver foil floral and scroll border surrounding a foliate medallion with checkered center, matching motifs on (a); acorn-shaped finial with radial cutting on top, panel and arch cutting below, mounted on two disc mereses.
