Physical DescriptionAnkh Inlay. Canes of opaque white and opaque red in translucent medium blue, slightly bubbly and pitted, some brown incrustation on sides; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Slice of a roughly square rod with chip on lower right-hand corner preserving on a blue ground an elaborate white Ankh symbol with red infill and on either side a Was-scepter with a head of the god Seth as a terminal, the details of the eye, mouth and ears are picked out in blue on the white ground; a more colorful collar and pedestal are heavily devitrified as well as two small areas above the top of the Ankh symbol.Provenance
