Physical DescriptionBowl. Colorless glass, with translucent purplish brown trails; blown, applied, tooled, iridized, ground and polished. Bowl, shallow, with eight-lobed rim. Rim plain; wall with convex profile, curving outward to greatest diameter below mid-point, then in to bottom; base plain, ground and polished, with ground and polished concavity where pontil mark was removed. Decorated from rim to edge of base with multiple wavy trails which cross one another, creating irregular lattice reminiscent of loosely woven osiers. Top of rim and whole of exterior covered with purple to pale green iridescence, which imparts purple lustre to trails, especially near rim.
