Physical DescriptionColorless glass with translucent deep blue and translucent greenish-yellow trails; blown; colorless parison decorated at end with superimposed blobs of blue and then greenish-yellow, marvered, and inflated; colored glass dragged up sides of parison, which was tooled and inflated to final size and shape; blue trail wound at least eighteen times around upper part of parison, which was then cracked off; after annealing, rim was ground and polished. Rim plain, with ground and polished lip; wall tapers below rim and then straightens, descending almost vertically until it curves in at bottom; pad base with rounded edge and slightly concave underside; no pontil mark; applied and tooled decoration: base and bottom of wall covered with superimposed blobs of blue and greenish-yellow, which is drawn up to rim in seven vertical stripes that are broad at bottom and narrow at rim; upper part of wall also has blue trail wound around it at least eighteen times; acid-etched mark on base: "c]zechoslovaki[a", applied eccentrically, so that it lacks the initial "c", part of the "z", part of the "i" and nearly all of the final "a".Provenance
