Physical DescriptionBlack non-lead glass; blown, stained, enameled, gilt, silvered. Tapered shape with bulbous, rounded foot; inset rim cut and coated with a marbleized purple enamel; sides coated with a yellow-green marbleized enamel; a wide central band of silvered (now black) decoration, with foliate scrolls and borders, with three glossy black oval medallions, each decorated with raised white enamel: a nude woman seated on a pedestal, holding a floral swag, with a winged putto offering a dish of fruit standing before her; two nude women, one holding a swag of drapery in front of her, the other carrying a flaming tray; a nude woman, leaning on an altar bearing an arrow-pierced heart, with a swan on top; gold borders above and below; marbled purple enamel on the inside of the beaker.
