Physical DescriptionBlack non-lead glass; blown, cut, enameled, gilt. Tapered shape with panel-cut foot; inset rim cut and decorated with a granular purple enamel; elaborate gold zig-zag border below the cut rim, and a border of repeated diamonds; a wide black band, encircling the body, decorated with a continuous scene of sea gods, tritons, fish, etc., with a setting sun and stars in the background; border of repeated diamonds below; signed "Am.E./in Pl." between three gold bands near the base; marbled green and brown enamel in the inside of the beaker.
