Physical DescriptionTumbler. Colorless glass; probably molded for form, painted in transparent enamels. Cylindrical form with bevel on inside of rim and with smooth flat base; decoration: at top, below rim, circlet of compact oak leaves in green from which depend festoons, inscriptions in semicircles formed by festoons -- on obverse, festoon of pink roses and green leaves and "der 16.April" above "Abend 1/2 6 Uhr." (the 16th of April, 5:30 o'clock in the evening); at right, festoon of clover-like green leaves and "der 9.August" above Nachmittag 2 Uhr" (the 9th of August; 2 o'clock in the afternoon); on reverse, festoon of green ivy and "1809"; at left, festoon of feathery green leaves and "der Juni" above "fruh 1/2 3 Uhr". (the 13th of June; 2:30 in the morning) --; encircling lower part of glass, street and buildings depicting the Leipzig market place; intervening space between festoons and roofs of buildings, frosted in appearance; signed "G. Mohn f"; on inside of bottom monogram "F S" in lavender scrolled lines.
