Physical DescriptionPreserving Jar with Cap. Light green, opaque white non-lead glasses; mold-blown, pressed. (a) Barrel shape; with ground lip; screw threads on neck, mold seams on each side; obverse embossed: "MASON'S/PATENT/NOV 30TH/ 1858"; Hero cross between "MASON" and "PATENT"; base embossed "PAT NOV 26 67" in a circle around "375". (b) Cap has pressed opaque white glass liner embossed: "GENUINE BOYD CAP/FOR MASON JARS".
