Physical DescriptionPreserving Jar with Cap. Aquamarine, opaque white non-lead glass; mold-blown, pressed. (a) Barrel shape with ground lip; screw threads on neck, mold seams on sides and embossed inscription "MASON'S/PATENT/NOV 30TH /1858" on side with Hero cross below "MASON'S"; box embossed "PAT NOV 26 67" in a circle. (b) Zinc cap has pressed opaque white glass liner with "GENUINE BOYD'S CAP/FOR MASON JARS" in a circle.
