Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Tall round- funnel bowl, with two rows of overlapping scale facets at the base; engraved decoration; four circular panels, each containing an engraved scene, framed with scrollwork, flowers and swags, with inscriptions above, each numbered consecutively: "1/Fur allen dingen furchte gott/den er uns giebt das Taglich brodt", "2/An dein beriff thu freudig gehn/so wird euch alles glucklich jehn", "3/Mit deien nachbahrn leb vertraglich/sonst wird die wirthschafft hochst beschwerlich", "4/Thue recht und guts, ein jedermann, /so wird es wohl im hausse stahn"; the first panel showing a man praying on his knees to a half-length figure of God, crowned, with a radiance around him, in clouds; the second panel showing one man hoeing fields, another walking from the left, wearing a pack on his back and carrying a walking staff; the third panel showing two men shaking hands; the fourth panel showing three men seated at the table, drinking, with two servants in the foreground; stem with two mereses above a facet-cut flattened ball knop, a merese, a facet- and panel-cut inverted baluster, and a reel-shaped section at the base; large disk foot, inscribed on the top "Wilkommen des Ritter guts ober Eule" and a floral sprig; rough pontil mark; circular paper label inscribed "22" and incomplete number ("8...?") in white paint on the underside of the foot.
