Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. (a) Round funnel bowl with engraved border of diamonds and circular facets at the rim; engraved band showing an infant Bacchus being carried by three other naked infants, with another ahead beating a drum and playing a whistle, followed by another carrying a jug and covered goblet, trees in the background; band of cut stiff leaves at the base; stem composed of a panel-cut disk knop above faceted ovoid knop containing several air bubbles, and faceted basal knop, spreading, circular foot with band of engraved formal leaves; polished pontil mark. (b) Domed shape with tapered, inset flange; engraved stiff leaves on top, and a border of diamonds and circles, matching that in the foot of (a); finial composed of a faceted ball knop above faceted ovoid knop containing numerous air bubbles, and panel-cut disk.
