(a) Lobed ovoid bowl, the ends rounded, the sides flattened; engraved decoration of panels of foliate sprays, with cross-hatched panels between; double merese above a faceted inverted baluster stem, with capstan below; twelve-sided foot with cut ovals alternating with pointed ovals on the underside; engraved "5." on underside of foot; (b) lobed cover, conforming to (a); inset conforming brim; engraved foliate scrolls on the lobes, a band of cross-hatched panels on the side; double merese below a faceted ovoid finial; engraved "5." on the brim; ground rim.
