Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; pressed, cut; molded, encased sulphide. Cylindrical, straight-sided shape, with plain rim, molded panels on the sides, with molded raised ovals and half ovals; cut, octagonal, convex panel on one panel, enclosing a molded white ceramic (sulphide) bust-length portrait of a man wearing a fur robe, clutching a tied cross with pennant in his crossed arms; rectangular panel below, inscribed in blue script "St Jean.", with shells at the sides and scroll supports; hexagonal base, with concave center and polished, flat rim.Provenance
