Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved; ormolu mounts. Lightly tapered, panel-cut form; alternate panels engraved in a formal foliate strapwork motif, with baskets of flowers at the top of two; applied hollow loop handle; flat base with cut ovals, radial slices, and a circle at the center; gilded mount on the foot with cut leaves extending up the side; flat, panel-cut cover with engraved foliate scrolls, mounted on the edge to match the foot, hinged to the handle, with ball-shaped latch; gilded finial in the form of a man whose right arm is raised, his left extended.Provenance
