Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; encased, cut, molded sulphide, cast metal mount. Flat, square shape, with projecting ovals at the corners; faces polished flat; obverse with a raised rectangular field outlined with bands of three cut lines; sides beveled; ovals with fine radial lines cut on top; reverse with four grooves delineating a rectangular panel; a rectangular projection at the top, with metal sleeve ending in formal flowers on the faces, leaves on top, with a bulbous, pierced post holding a loose metal ring for hanging; enclosing a molded sulphide portrait, turned toward dexter, wearing a military uniform, including two orders; reverse flat.Provenance
