Physical DescriptionStar canes of opaque brick-red glass with opaque white arms and translucent grey to amethyst circular centers, dull pitted surface, interior polished recently; cast, lathe-cut and polished. Fragment preserves section of rim and part of body from a large carinated bowl, narrow horizontal rim has been cut above and below to form a half-round profile around the exterior, the upper surface is cut with a shallow groove before bending down and in to form a deep collar which is highlighted by a relief-cut step above and below on the exterior and by a second series on the interior; the wall bends down into a deep form as far as preserved, the exterior is highlighted by a third relief-cut step immediately below this transition.
