Physical DescriptionColorless and transparent ruby lead glasses; blown, overlay, cut; enameled, stamped, encrusted metal foil. Bell-shaped bowl, ruby overlay on colorless, with cut plain rim, cut vertical panels on the sides; convex octagonal cut panel on the side, encasing an enameled silver-colored metal (platinum ?) foil medal of the Legion of Honor, with five white-enameled arms backed by a green foliate wreath, a small gold medallion at the center with stamped male head facing dexter, against a rayed background, encircled by a blue band inscribed in gold "NAPOLEON EMP. DES FRANCAIS."; suspended from a silver crown and red ribbon; waisted at the bottom of the bowl, flared, panel-cut foot, concave underneath, with cut star.Provenance
