Physical DescriptionOpaque white, light blue, pink, red, brown, yellow, and black, transparent bluish gray, colorless glasses; flameworked. Musician in 18th-century costume, dancing as he plays violin. Male, with right foot resting on conical base and left knee raised in dance; he wears white wig drawn together with blue bow, black mask covering his eyes, ruffled white bib over blue tail-coat with white edging and yellow buttons at front, yellow buttons at back, and white lace at cuffs and knees, white hose, and blue pointed shoes with yellow buckles and black heels; his left hand supports brownish red violin tucked under his chin, his right hand holds black bow; base consists of cone, edge of which has been drawn outward and downward at four equidistant points; impressed on underside of base: "B L".Provenance
