Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, engraved. Shallow, cup-shaped bowl, with engraved crowned script monogram "G VI R" on the side; mounted on a rounded disk enclosing ten air beads, above a hollow ball knop enclosing a loose silver medal bearing the portraits of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, inscribed ". KING . GEORGE . VI & QUEEN . ELIZABETH ." in an arc around the portraits; on the reverse, the crowned script monogram "G VI R", and the inscription "CORONATION 1937", with hallmarks for London, 1937, maker's mark "T & S" in a shaped outline; rounded disk below the knop; sloping foot, engraved on the upper surface "GOD SAVE THE KING*" on the upper surface; no pontil mark.
