Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; mold-blown, cut, black-enameled, gilt. Shallow, rectangular shape, with canted corners; paneled sides; flat rim with cut edge; six black-enameled and gilt stylized foliate sprays, two on the bottom side of the rim, four on top; the sides rounded and paneled, some with large oval facets; black enameled decoration on the exterior with gilt highlights, two panels with buildings, four with prancing horses, two with birds in floral sprays; cut oval facets below; recessed well with chamfered edge; black enameled village scene inside, with a man smoking a long pipe, seated on a box at the left foreground, with a small dog at his feet; a large broken flat bubble at the side; ground flat bottom.Provenance
