Rectangular panel with the picture of the German 13th century poet Walter von der Vogelweide sitting on a green hill (?), and reading a book, on the upper left corner his symbol, a bird in a cage on a golden shield; above him his name: "her walter vo der Vogelweide"; lead frame around panel.
