Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. (a) Conical bowl; engraved mat border with polished diamonds and ovals below the rim; engraved portrait of King Friderich William I in an oval frame, surrounded by flags and arms, with two chained bearded nude male prisoners at either side; on the reverse, an eagle carrying a banderole inscribed "VIVAT FRIDERICH REX"; band of cut raised leaves at the base; the columnar stem faceted above cut ribbing; cut raised leaves on the foot; rough pontil mark. (b) Domed form; engraved mat border with polished diamonds and rectangles; foliate border near base of finial; finial composed of opposed balusters with engraved leaves; top cross-hatched; rough pontil mark.
