Physical DescriptionOpalescent bluish-white non-lead glass; mold-blown, applied, cut, assembled. (a) Coffee pot, of cylindrical, tapered, straight-sided shape, with galleried rim, pulled to form a pouring spout on one side, and an indentation on the other (to hold the lid in place while pouring); the rim polished flat; applied hollow handle on the back, the larger attachment at the bottom, curved upward to the top attachment which is rolled downward; flat bottom; (b) cover, of domed shape, with rounded rim and tapered, inset brim; the rim polished flat; applied (or drawn?) ball finial mounted on a short, solid, cylindrical stem; (c) strainer, of cylindrical, straight-sided shape with flared rim; the rim polished flat; the bottom edge rounded and with cut-through slots in two rows; the bottom with a ring of deep, perforated indentations; small central hole to accommodate the shaft of (d); (d) column, of slightly tapered, straight-sided, hollow shape; the top rim ground flat; slight swelling just above the mid-point; the bottom domed and open on the underside, the rim ground flat; four cut linear openings on the sides.
