Physical DescriptionTransparent; blue tint; colorless non-lead glass; mold-blown, by machine; pressed; a) cylindrical shaped pot; machine finished rim with pinched lip; 2cm wide raised ring of glass around body circumference 0.5cm down from rim; just below raised area is a depression (or channel) 2cm wide; hardwood band wrapped around channel,; handle attached to band with screw, top of handle extends horizontally from pot, end of handle vertical and unattached; body of pot rounds out from channel, then is straight-sided before rounding in at very bottom; flat circular base; b) cylindrical shaped lid; flange knob; lid domed; rim of greater diameter than cylindrical insert; "78-C" and "B-H" molded into insert; four bumps inside raised scalloped edged circle in center of lid's underside, "PYREX®" and on opposite side "MADE IN U.S.A." molded into underside near outer edge ; insert has two flat semicircular tabs, one opposite the other.
