Physical DescriptionPossibly Fragment of Beaker. Almost colorless, with greenish yellow tint and small bubbles. Blown and slant-cut. Fragment of beaker (?). Wall straight, tapering first at steep angle, then at shallower angle near bottom; base slightly splayed, with countersunk boss (D. 2.3 cm) at center of underside; pontil mark probably removed by grinding and polishing. Wall has incised decoration made with broad slanting cuts: on upper part, two apparently continuous horizontal rows of 15 contiguous tall ovals arranged in quincunx; each oval has countersunk downward-pointing tear-shaped motif, several of which are hatched with short horizontal cuts; immediately below lower row, 15 contiguous pendant crescents and, below this, continuous horizontal groove. Beneath groove, wall is cut to form profile of bottom of wall and base.Provenance
