Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass with pale green cast, polychrome enamels ; hot-formed glass covered with Kugler color, sandblasted areas then enamel painted and fired to 1000 degrees F. Solid hot-formed snake, with single-horned human head; head and horn have overall light bluish-gray enamel background; black detail brushwork; red lips and cheeks, yellow pupils; body has undecorated sections that alternate with rings of blue-gray enamel, with yellow spots and black detail; black has scratched linear patterning; patches on underside have been ground flat; inscribed in script on base: Ulrica HV Pilchuck 1988.
