Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; blown, cut, encased, molded sulphide. Tall form, with candle cup on top; rounded, upturned rim, with diagonal cut grooves on the underside; cylindrical socket with rounded base, with faceted prismatic cutting above a band of cross-cut diamonds; capstan section; tall, tapering section with heavy cut ribbing alternating with cut sharp rings, in horizontal rings; face polished flat, showing an enclosed molded three-dimensional figure of a kneeling winged putto, with floral hat, held by two fabric bands which extend over the child's shoulder, and are grasped in his hands; wide cylindrical collar at the base of the stem; spreading, step-cut, circular foot with paneled rim; cut radial grooves on the underside of the foot.Provenance
