Physical DescriptionColorless glass with minute bubbles; blown and engraved. Plain conical foot (probably not original foot) with mat ground pontil mark, composite stem consisting of elongated blade stem flanked by two flattened knops, and followed on top by two more knops; the lower one of which is wider than the others, funnel bowl; on the bowl a large panel with six coats of arms are arranged around this central cartouche, apparently the coats of arms of provinces and they are all surmounted by royal or ducal crowns; the central cartouche, apparently the coats of arms are surrounded by rococo leaf sprays, fruit festoons and strap work, at the lower left there is the nude figure of Mercury, on the lower right the nude figure of probably Thetis, in her left arm a horn of plenty, on the upper left there is a half figure of a woman looking in a mirror, apparently Venus, on the opposite side there seems to be Neptune, a bearded man, a trident at the top left and right there are two putti, above the cartouche there is a nude human figure holding a wreath and a branch, above the figure an arch-like scarf.Provenance
