Physical DescriptionClear very bubbly glass with a slight pinkish-grey tinge; free- blown, enameled and gilded. Almost cylindrical body tapering at upper and lower body, with high pushed up base having rough pontil mark, slightly irregular applied foot ring; enamel decoration: the double headed eagle of the Holy Roman Empire in black and white with yellow halos and crucifix: Christ with green crown of thorns and yellow halo against a brown cross; on the wings the multicolored coats of arms of the parts of the Holy Roman Empire, at the ends of the wings two flaming symbols on the reverse three diamond-shaped, quartered, gilded ornaments accompanied by white dots and crescents and studded with red and blue dots, smaller rosette-shaped motifs in between, above: "1614"; below rim a gilded band accompanied by white dots and crescents and studded with red and blue dots, smaller rosette- shaped motifs in between, above: "1614"; below rim a gilded band accompanied by two rows of white pearls, underneath: "DAS HEILIG ROMISCH REICH MIT SAMPT SEINEN GLIEDERN", white dashes on foot ring.Provenance
