Physical DescriptionColorless glass; few minute bubbles. Blown; relief-cut. Fragment of vessel, possibly bottle. Wall (Th. 0.25 cm with decoration, 0.1 cm without decoration) descends in convex curve. Decorated in relief with part of bird seen in profile, facing left. Bird’s neck is broad and merges with body, both having notched outlines and continuous countersunk interior with row of four drilled dots; leg is short, extends forward, and terminates in two notched lines representing foot with two talons or two feet; wing folded, shown as elaborate half-palmette, with notched stem and hatched leaves. Above wing, curving notched lines, presumably parts of vegetal ornament.
