Physical DescriptionClear glass with minute and small bubbles and impurities and green tinge; wear marks at base; free-blown and enameled. Cylindrical body with high pushed up base having rough pontil mark; applied foot ring; enamel decoration: the Roman Emperor and the seven Electors are arranged in two rows framed by yellow, blue and red lines to form squares; all are mounted on white horses proceeding to the left, the horses are walking on strips of grass; in the upper zone the Emperor and the Electors of Trier, Cologne and Mainz, accompanied by their names, on the lower zone three more Electors, with the Elector of Bohemia missing; the Elector of Trier has a "1", the one from Cologne "2" and the one from Mainz "3", the Emperor has a "4" and the other three Electors have numbers "5" to "7"; the remaining panel on the lower zone has a coat of arms with the symbols of the Guild of farriers on a brown background; the text reads: "Ich Samuel Muller leutenambt vo(n) Schweintz (Schweidnitzz) verehre disz der loblichen Zunft der Nagelschmide inn thoren zum gedachtnisz ANNO 1648."; two white star ornaments flank the coats of arms (a Muller gives this object to the Guild of Farriers of Thorn); below the rim a gilded band (partly rubbed off) accompanied by four rows of blue and white beads; dashes on the foot ring.
