Physical DescriptionFragment of a Floral Plaque. Translucent greyish medium blue matrix with assorted canes of opaque red, opaque yellow, opaque white, translucent green, translucent yellow-green and translucent pale amethyst glass; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Section roughly rectangular preserving one finished edge, back retains some rectangular muddy-green strips, otherwise motif on front penetrates through. Plaque retains a single medium-sized rosette of four heart-shaped leaves, the tips in yellow, the center white, the ends in red, below this a small white flower, a yellow circular center with red dots and six rounded pointed leaves; along broken edge are traces of large floral elements similar to the rosette as well as a yellow fruit and a green and yellow- green leaf.Provenance
